Accomodation really very very close to the old town! Check in and check out very simple. Crean. Only an observation: the room should be for a person, not two: very little. Good bathroom.

❌ DO NOT STAY HERE! It is an ILLEGAL ARBNB apartment business. The address mentioned on Booking.com is actually different from where it is located. It is Podowale 3/3, an old building that is falling apart and covered in graffiti. It is located on the second floor; you have to climb 4 flights of high, steep, flimsy wooden stairs. There is no help or elevator, so if you have bags or any mobility limitations, it will be absolute torture or even impossible to get there. They FORCE YOU TO PROVIDE SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA in a WhatsApp chat—full name, passport details, date of birth, nationality, etc. Otherwise, they won’t provide the door code and you will sleep on the street. We booked 3 apartments; all of them ended up extremely beaten up with scratched and water-damaged furniture. This is NOT what you see in the Booking.com pictures! All three apartments had EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE CHEAP MATTRESSES AND PAPER-THIN PILLOWS FILLED WITH PLASTIC. Everyone had HORRIBLE SLEEP AND BACKACHES. The size of the beds is really small as well. It was absolute torture to sleep there. Some of the apartments REEKED OF SEWAGE! When we checked in, the whole APARTMENT SMELLED LIKE ROTTEN EGGS AND VOMIT. The smell comes from the toilets, shower, and sink drainage holes. It was absolutely disgusting and impossible to stay there. Management responds really slowly; it took at least 24h to get any response. Their reply was: “well, it is an old building, it is normal.” Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for over $100 per night! Overall, all interactions with management were extremely unpleasant and RUDE. As this is an illegally converted apartment, they made 6–7 tiny units out of 2 apartments. Again, what you see on Booking.com is misleading. They show pictures of larger apartments, but where you actually stay is much smaller. Walls between apartments are PAPER-THIN; you can absolutely hear every neighbor, their TVs, their hair dryers, their conversations, and SMELL THE CIGARETTES they are smoking. Scratchy, old, washed-out linen and towels were falling apart with threads sticking out. Broken windows, CHIPPED GLASSWARE, and destroyed kitchenware. Every item you touch is either BROKEN, CHIPPED, or SMELLS. That is how you know management doesn’t care about your experience. The worst part is there is no one to help. Due to their internal miscommunication, they were pushing us out of the apartment despite our confirmation. We were ready to call the police on FINANCIAL FRAUD. Later, they figured out their mistake but didn’t even apologize for ruining the experience. They never followed up on the sewer smell request. There is nothing good about this place, not even the location. The city started a major rail and road renovation right next to the building. It is EXTREMELY NOISY during the day. Additionally, there was a violent attack at 2 AM right under our windows. A man was attacked, there were screams, and the next day the asphalt was COVERED IN BLOOD RIGHT UNDER OUR WINDOWS! AVOID THESE APARTMENTS AT ALL COST! Most of the 5-star reviews are probably FAKE!
